XAMPP is great tool to develop and test your website (particularly if it uses php, and mysql databases) offline before putting it on a live server. You could also use XAMPP as an easy method of setting up a live server, however I can only speculate because I use it for testing only.

I don't get the point of this. I've had no trouble with Apache.

For people without a lot of sysadmin experience, and for folks who want to keep the dev environment somewhat discreet from the rest of their system, turnkey *AMP stacks like XAMPP are a nice, simple option.

That post is over 2 years old. Thanks anyway though.

the age of posts do not matter, informational archiving does. Notice how it is now 2017, and your post is STILL just as self-serving and lacks communication to come to a proper resolve other than you Trolling.

Perhaps you should step back and breath, because you're 0 for 2 on developer logic. .. no matter the year oh mighty one that doesn't think anyone else uses the internet. ;)

To explain to you: If a subject is still relevant ..then the posts and replies about the subject are still relevant.
Example: how about things from 2002 ? SHould those viable and helpful posts be removed because you have learned it in 2006 ?
...maybe just stop posting when you're in a bad mood... unless you live in a bad mood, then just don't post. .. or join the common-denom nutbars on FB.
