What is Workflowy?
WorkFlowy is a web-based outlining tool that uses a text-based nested list for organizing thoughts and tasks. It features inline notes and one-click hoisting for zooming into specific list branches. The application syncs with mobile apps and has a minimalist interface for quick note-taking and task planning. It allows instant note and idea capture, item tagging and assignment, task completion with a single swipe, and photo and file uploads. Users can organize complex ideas through infinite nesting and manage tasks using kanban boards.
WorkFlowy also offers real-time collaboration, note-sharing, and content filtering. It supports YouTube video and tweet embedding and ensures data safety with automatic syncing and auto-saving. Other features include infinitely nested lists, offline functionality, document sharing and permissions, text highlighting and color tagging, mobile keyboard shortcuts, live copy mirroring, multi-factor authentication, item starring, date tagging, and auto-backup to Dropbox.

Simple, fast, and powerful outliner. Has a 'zoom' feature that lets you focus to a particular node. I mostly use it for writing long text, although it's also great for making to-do lists.
Isnt open source, No end to end encryption, I cant pay with crypto, I would like better history managment, I would like read only mode in Mobile app
It has infinitely nestable nodes. This is very hard to find!!!
Super lightweight and a long time standby. The minimalist, text-first interface is great for getting thoughts down without distraction.
Super fricken awesome. Very simple to use. I organize my life with workflowy, work and personal. Lists, todos, work progress, etc. All the most important tasks and notes in my life end up here. I've used other over-featured tools before and they always slow me down (formatting, organizing, markdown, etc). Make lists, not war!
I highly recommend Workflowy for keeping all sort of lists, tasks, note taking, it's very practical.
What I love about WorkFlowy is its simplicity. The app stays out of your way and puts your thoughts and ideas front and center. It’s not cluttered with buttons or features you don’t need.
The infinite nesting of bullet points changes how you think, ideas become more fluid, more flexible. It’s like having a whiteboard that stretches forever, letting you zoom in on details or step back and see the big picture.
One of its quiet superpowers is how it embraces messiness. You don’t have to structure everything perfectly from the start. You can just jot down thoughts, follow tangents, make connections later.
Perfect for brainstorming, planning, or just getting your head clear.
Pleasant clean easy layout for image pasting and bulleted noting. Has formatted text to some degree. If you copy over something from the web, the colors/font don't appear the same in pasting, but they can be modified. Didn't bring in inline/thumbnail images. It definitely can't bring in webpages like Evernote. It has a simplified checklist ToDo Manager, but there are no notifications/alerts in basic mode. The big drawback to me is that as an Android app, there isn't a way to share gallery images to it like I can with GoogleKeep, Turtl, or Capacities. I prefer the program Capacities. You can however share note items by email. From Brave AI: "WorkFlowy does work offline on iOS and desktop platforms, but the desktop offline functionality is a WorkFlowy Pro feature." I'm looking for a secondary similar program, but I would probably choose Zenkit over this. I think that Workflowy is much easier on resources though than Capabilities and Zenkit.
