Unique. And it seemed to suit me until I realized that Browsers have a minimum width.. a fact that stops me from tiling 3 across with this. This should be good for keeping 2 across.
It's late 2021, and while the software hasn't been updated since 2016, it is still one of the first things I install on every machine I encounter (I actually made a scoop bucket for it):
scoop bucket add szcoop https://code.lksz.me/szcoop/bucket scoop install WindowGrid
This makes using multiple windows so much more comfortable I highly recommend it.
To address some of the issues others have mentioned below, run this application 'as admin', this way it doesn't get stuck when trying to manipulate elevated windows.
Took me a minute or two to figure out how it works, but it is really easy. It's just different because no one has come up w a cool easy way to do this before. :)
UPDATE: Oct 2018 I ended up uninstalling this as it doesn't seem to always stay running or doesn't always respond to the proper clicks to get it to work.
I dont like "WindowGrid".

If it had the ability to auto-resize the windows it would be all I'd need. But not bad. I'll give it a shot and see how it fairs out.
It's super simple, super easy, portable, ligth but still work perfect.
Move a window, hold Left Ctrl, rigth click to select te startint position, then resize. Love it
Great little piece of software. I have trouble using large or multiple displays without it. It makes snapping windows a breeze and is super fast to learn and use.
