mwildam Same uncomplicated and simply working remote desktop application as one day was TeamViewer. And at best: Newer versions can connect to older versions - which TeamViewer always enforced to enforce everybody to upgrade.

The free version of AnyDesk does not allow you to store a list of remote computers that one regularly connects to. Also, there is a 15 hour per month limit on connect time. That's way too restrictive. Otherwise it seemed like it was going to be perfect.

yuriykaz I like AnyDesk because it is much faster than TeamViewer, 100% Free for personal use, no installation required, lightweight and has got a VPN and an address book. For professional purposes it has very competitive prices.

It’s an easy to use program, more easy to use, more private and is lightweight and won’t bog your computer down like other apps featured as alternatives do.

ken_belanger It's the best alternative but lacks many of the features found in TeamViewer. If you're on a budget though, this will do in a pinch!

Chrome Remote Desktop is a good alternative to windows RDP but is not an alternative to TeamViewer as it is lacking in features as well as the unattended access TeamViewer has.

yuriykaz I have been using this app/chrome extension for years now. It just works fine and it's FREE. No fancy tools, just remote single user support, but that's what I need. 100% recommended!

Easy to use, install NoMachine on both computers. Connect to another computer via internet with external IP or services like dyndns, just need port forwarding. Very stable and many features.

Supports all features of TeamViewer, but with fair license prices and more technical options. i.e. it allows to run your own relay server ("RU Server") in the public internet to connect your "Viewer" with remote PCs (running unattended "Host" or on-demand "Agent") when they are both behind a firewall. (TV always uses its own cloud infrastructure for that purpose)

justposted Straightforward, effective and lightweight, with less mucking about with usernames and things than Teamviewer. Just what I wanted. If I'm running fullscreen (F12 toggles it) then I feel like I'm just working away on my remote PC. I use it to work from my office laptop using my home desktop setup.

ChrisTarr I love the fact that it uses HTML 5, which means that it can be used via just about any web browser. I also appreciate the fact that the free version doesn't nag you. I did spring for a subscription because I like the advanced computer management features. Oh, did I mention that it's much more affordable than TeamViewer too?
