What is Ruby Relay?

Ruby Relay is a lightweight live chat tool that connects your website directly to Slack. Instead of giving your team yet another dashboard to babysit, Ruby Relay delivers every visitor conversation straight into a Slack channel as a thread. You reply from Slack, and the message appears instantly back on your site, images and all.

Setup takes a couple of minutes: drop a small JavaScript snippet on your site, point it at a Slack channel, and you're done. There's no separate agent app to install, no seat math to do, and no CRM you didn't ask for.

Key features:

  • Two-way live chat between your website and Slack in real time
  • Unlimited team members on every plan (no per-agent pricing)
  • Conversations land as Slack threads, so anyone on the team can jump in without stepping on each other
  • Image and file support in both directions
  • Flat monthly pricing starting at $19/month
  • 14-day free trial, no credit card required

Ruby Relay is a good fit for small teams, founders, and indie businesses who want to talk to visitors without paying Intercom or Zendesk prices, and without onboarding their whole team onto a new support platform. If your team already lives in Slack, Ruby Relay just meets them there.
