It'd be a solid app if they stopped changing the UI. They really need to stamp out the land-standing bugs that prevent me using it full-time. For instance, they will not fix the 'created date' issue when it comes to viewing files. It read my Lumix S RW2 camera files and applies bizarre created dates to them. It makes it impossible to use this app for any kind of multiple camera event work when it messes with the create times.

Combined with our current set of tools, the next generation of ON1 Photo 10, will continue to work where you want, as a standalone app, a plug-in for Adobe® Photoshop® & Lightroom®, or a host app for other editing apps.
Said about ON1 Photo RAW as an alternative
Great editing power, great organizational power, no subscriptions. The few areas where it lacks won't make a difference to the home user.
For me is the best alternative till now to LR, though it takes quite a bit of your machine power to process your photos. Different to LR , lot's of presets included, a very different business model where you may pay only once per year. NO database to burden your main hard-drive is one of the greatest things this programs has. Lots of instructional videos make this program one of the best alternatives to Lr.

I think this app, is really a good one, getting less attention from the general media that what it deserves. You can do a lot of stuff within this app, and it doesn't create a heavy catalog as LR. On the other hand, they have quite a good denoising algorithym. The AI presets and selections are amazing!
