Everytime I setup a phone for a friend or myself I usually remove stock apps using adb or UniversalAndroidDebloaterNextGeneration and replace them with theses apps listed here. I added also a couple of nice to have apps that people might wants on their device. Almost all of them are free as in free beer and many are open source (around 80%) I tried to feature more applications and less services but there are several services still in this list, however I find them great and/or accessible (freemium most of the time). FOSS = Free(as in freedom) and Open Source Software

Look once at how much time you spend on your phone. The average is 3 to 5 hour a day which is a lot (social media, phone call, messages,etc..). We spend all too much time on these phones. Which is why this list exist , it's here to help people spending less time on those then we already do via a vast range of apps that can be useful through out your days. It's also here to promote alternative to classical tool made by big tech.

Digital minimalism means keeping the technology that serves you and quieting the rest. These tools strip the noise from the devices and sites you already use: minimalist launchers that hide the endless app grid, browser extensions that remove infinite feeds and autoplay recommendations, and a focus timer to protect your attention. Narro applies the same idea to social media itself: instead of an algorithmic feed, you keep only the accounts you choose across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn, shown in plain chronological order with no ads.
