There are still a few interesting features missing from Nova Launcher, but I reckon this is the one to watch. The icons aren’t too big, unlike on Fossify Launcher (the rest of it is still brilliant), the settings are fairly easy to configure, and there’s the ‘notification’ built into the home screen for the sound and date/time… I really hope this will become fully customisable, but there’s still a bit of a lag when searching for apps (3 seconds on my device) and when creating shortcuts or...

Comments and Reviews

Comment summary: Lawnchair stands out for its extensive customization, open-source nature, and privacy focus. Users praise its smooth experience, lightweight build, and resemblance to the Pixel Launcher without heavy Google integration. Several comments note that while it's a strong alternative to paid options like Nova and Bliss Launcher, some bugs and missing features remain, particularly in comparison to more mature launchers. Occasional lag and root requirements for certain options are mentioned.

I ran into some bugs when installing it, and to configure certain options you have to have superuser (root).

Other than that, it's very good, and a great alternative to Nova Launcher. This Launcher is focused on privacy, aesthetics, minimalism and a thousand things that make it (in my opinion) one of the best launchers focused on privacy.

PS I: If you don't have a Google Pixel, but would like to experience what one is like and its aesthetics, Lawnchair is an excellent option.

Nice display, vert customizable, good alternative to bliss launcher for degoogled os!

Super customizable and super smooth. It is basically a de-googled pixel launcher.

Very good application, you can really customize everything from the font to the icon shape. Moreover if you use the Trebuchet launcher you must absolutely change because on the Trebucher launcher you have a white outline on some applications while with Lawnchair it disappears. My experience for some hours on this app makes me really happy. I recommend it to you!

Open-source (= more trustworthy). Seems to access the internet far less than other launchers (NetGuard only showed internet access while displaying the app's about page). Good functionality.
