Comments about foobar2000 as an Alternative to MusicBee
Most Recent CommentMelatonin-SambaTakes long time to set it up not to look awful and be usable. Barely usable out of the box. Absence of built-in album art grid for browsing library is huge disadvantage for me. Can be added with some extensions tho. With time you can make it look really how you want and it is fast too
Way too ugly, it's more of a music player, a very capable, but not a music manager.

Comments about Audacious as an Alternative to MusicBee
Most Recent CommentF0rZ3r0Not as intuitive or cleanly built. Functions okay, and may very well be functional for what you require, but lacks any music collection management as noted previously. I'm not the hugest fan.
No music collection management
Ruhart SolnachtOne of my favorite music players in Linux and a great alternative to MusicBee. Unfortunately, it doesn't work so well with Windows, but that's what MusicBee is for.
Comes very barebones, so no playlist or library management or minimize to taskbar by default, but all these features and more can be found as official plugins and attached to the main player through modular placement features.
A+ for Linux, C for Windows (long startup time, very unresponsive when opening the window from taskbar).

MethatroncGreat alternative, don't hesitate to go through the plugins since it's a goldmine, also the possibilty to switch theme easily, use the waveform sound bar and the cover panel with the songs as sidebar is great ! Works perfectly with debian 10 and eOS 5.1.7.
