Perfect. Its a FOSS version of AirDrop. I don't like apple phones and have been wishing for something like this ever since i've got my macbook. works like a charm on my home network. outside it may need a hotspot or something depending on the place you are on network's firewall rules..

Not only is this app FOSS and privacy-focused, but it is also accessible in so many languages and on so many devices regardless of the operating system. It has to be one of the most widely available existing apps.

Simple and clear to use. Fast, secure, very useful for getting things to and from your computer to phone, or your mates device and yours - as long as you're on the exact same network/wifi. Apple people should use this instead of airdrop.

Why LocalSend if Tox is already here ? I'm just trying to find a reason to use this app.

Tox is a broader software all together, chat, video. LocalSend is only for files on a common network. There's some overlap but generally I wouldn't say the two are corresponding. Others have pointed out the irony in Tox's selling point (against mass surveillance) given where it emanates from.

There is basically no other local file transfer app that works as flawlessly as LocalSend. It's also probably the most private one too.

Beautiful Open Source Apps for Android (nice & modern UI/UX)

UI = User Interface UX = User eXperience Most open source apps offer out-dated or classic material design UI. If the apps works great and the UX is not terrible you might find it okay. But intuitive UI are better, and modern looking ones are pleasant to use, sadly they are not the majority. Here is my list of Beautiful Open Source Apps for your android device !
