Isle (also known as Isle Notch) is a macOS app that turns the MacBook notch into a living island. Hover the notch and a hub opens with the modules you turn on.
Music: artwork, scrubber and playback controls for Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube Music and podcasts, with lyrics.
AI usage limits: rings in the notch show how much of each usage limit is left for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, GitHub Copilot and more than 20 other AI services, with several profiles per service. Isle also follows Claude Code and Codex sessions, shows the step each one is on, and lets you answer a session that is waiting for you from the notch.
Timer and Pomodoro: timer, Pomodoro, stopwatch and countdown, with the time shown beside the notch.
File shelf: drop files on the notch to keep them for seven days or send them by AirDrop; convert images, shrink them or remove their background.
Screenshots: capture an area with Option+Shift+4, annotate it with arrows, shapes, text, counters and a secure pixelate, then copy, save, pin it on screen or share it with a one-click link (no account; links expire after 60 days).
Also clipboard history, calendar and reminders, weather, notes, system monitor and device batteries. Every module can be turned off.
Islet, the mascot, tells you when an AI request finishes, when a session needs you and when it's time for a break.
On external displays and Macs without a notch, Isle sits in a small pill at the top of the screen that opens on hover.
In English and Portuguese. Updates install automatically when the Mac is idle.
Private by design: no account, no ads, no tracking. One-time purchase of US$ 14.99 for up to 3 Macs, with a 3-day free trial of every feature. Requires macOS 26 or later.
