I'm not sure what the deal is with Postman but it's something with their UI that makes me crazy. You can't copy paste stuff without the cursor leaving the fields and so on.
Their environment system also feels weird and you have no idea what gets saved or not and it's just confusing in general.
I have tried Insomnia for a while now and it just feels so much better.
With the upgrade to the latest version (8), all the request collections disappeared, and not it's only to possible to have a single local collection called Scratchpad. The issue is described in their issue ticket 6585 (https://github.com/Kong/insomnia/issues/6585). It's probably to push people to use their cloud features. I avoided using Postman because they did the same. Now I will also avoid Insomnia. That's a shame because it was quite convenient.
Now asking to register an account to use more than one local collection.
Open source, clean UI
Is Insomnia a better tool than Postman? It can be just as good, or even better. I really like its UI/UX design.
I used this client for a couple of years but with recent updates it became so slow that it's just not usable anymore. I am not sure whether Insomnia is based on Electron but it sure does look and feel like it and explains the performance issues. Looking for another open source alternative now.
Is Insomnia REST client collaborative?
