What is Gostman?

Gostman is a free, MIT-licensed alternative to Postman, Insomnia and Bruno. It handles REST, GraphQL, gRPC and WebSocket requests, and stores collections as plain YAML files that live in your Git repository, so there is no account and no cloud sync to sign up for.

It ships as a desktop app (Go and Wails), a web app, and a single-binary CLI for CI. Features include a Git panel, tests and a collection runner, CI reports, load testing, a secret scanner, a mock server, code generation for 13 languages, and an MCP server (gostman mcp) so coding agents can run your saved requests. You can import from Postman, OpenAPI, Insomnia, HAR, Bruno, .http files and curl.
