What is Vayu API Client?

Vayu API Client is an open-source desktop application that enables users to construct and send REST and GraphQL requests, similar to Postman. It also offers load testing capabilities with a live dashboard that shows throughput, latency percentiles, and errors. The application operates locally, eliminating the need for an account or cloud synchronization, making it suitable for use behind corporate firewalls and on air-gapped networks. It supports direct importation of Postman collections, environments, and globals, as well as Insomnia exports and OpenAPI or Swagger specifications. The Vayu API Client also features collections with folders and layered environments, various authentication methods, SSE streaming requests, data-driven runs from CSV or JSON files, mock servers, and an integrated MCP server. The application's engine is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and the UI under Apache-2.0, with no premium tier available.
