      LMMS vs FL Studio
      pros, cons and recent comments
all • positive • negative      relevance • date
All though it lacks some of its FL studios features? (i.e attachable and detachable panels) it does support VST plugins and the interface is very easy to use once you get used it, all in all, it's a great DAW, anyone who says it's bad ethier has bias or not enough experience with the program

It's probably the best free DAW I've ever come across. It is so capable. When I got used to it, I was astonished about how much I could achieve with it. I couldn't stop telling my producer friends about it. They all use REASON and CUBASE and obviously they don't take me seriously because I never did a music production course and they have; so telling them about this good DAW means nothing to them. I love it nonetheless.

LMMS has nowhere near enough functionality to be considered an alternative to any DAW

      Caustic vs FL Studio
      pros, cons and recent comments
Although I would seriously recommend Caustic to anyone that wants to make synth music and do VERY basic production, I would not recommend it for professionals as it lacks many features (VSTs, etc.)

well thought through, very good structure, better vst handling than ableton. No pro or ultimate collectors edition shennanigans, just demo, lite and full.

Ugotsta Qtractor is a full fledged DAW for Linux. Unlike FL, it is not available for Windows or Mac. It also lacks the graphic refinement of FL as well as the powerful suite of bundled tools. While it's an alternative, it's not one of the closest.

      Renoise vs FL Studio
      pros, cons and recent comments
Ugotsta Renoise is a music tracker so the workflow is very different from FL. But the visual aesthetics between the two are somewhat similar as they're both heavily influenced by early music trackers. Meanwhile, Renoise provides many of the same core power features as FL including a huge list of native effects, advanced automation, a world class sampler and much more.
