What is Renoise?
Renoise is a contemporary digital audio workstation (DAW) based upon the heritage and development of tracker software. Its primary use is the composition of music using sound samples, soft synths, and effects plug-ins. It is also able to interface with MIDI equipment. The main difference between Renoise and other music software is the characteristic vertical timeline sequencer used by tracking software.

Renoise Features
Said about Renoise as an alternative
Core tracker features, but with lots of extra, modern, affordances
Renoise is a music tracker so the workflow is very different from FL. But the visual aesthetics between the two are somewhat similar as they're both heavily influenced by early music trackers. Meanwhile, Renoise provides many of the same core power features as FL including a huge list of native effects, advanced automation, a world class sampler and much more.
Both Radium and Renoise are based on and extend the tracker interface with more advanced musical features.
