Comments about Vivaldi as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: While Vivaldi is praised for its speed, customizability, and unique features reminiscent of older versions of Firefox, concerns arise due to its closed-source nature tied to Chromium and lack of full privacy features and add-on synchronizations. Firefox is favored by users who seek open-source, standalone alternatives. Some users find Vivaldi inferior in handling tab management and criticize its limitations in comparison with Firefox and operating system integrations.Top Positive CommentTop Negative CommentheadlinesThere's no good reason to use a closed source browser like Vivaldi when there are so many open source alternatives on this page.
Most Recent CommentKelson VFaster than Firefox in my experience (especially on my phone), and as a spiritual successor to the original Opera browser, my preferred Chromium browser. Even though the front-end isn't open source, Vivaldi seems more trustworthy than Brave, Opera or Google these days.

Comments about Brave as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: Brave is praised for its privacy features, speed, built-in ad-blocker, and integration with Tor. However, some users express concerns about its dependency on the Chromium engine and potential tracking issues. Mozilla Firefox, while still appreciated, is seen as less convenient for privacy out-of-the-box compared to Brave. Concerns include recent changes in Firefox and an increase in ads. Brave appeals as a Chromium-based, privacy-conscious alternative, but some users criticize its crypto-focused approach.Top Positive CommentvalerieDespite it being marketed otherwise, Brave DOES track you, and the browser is far too crypto-based for it to be a legitimate alternative for most people. (Did I also mention that there are ads everywhere? First-party ads, not third-party ads, but still.)
Top Negative CommentdabocksterAbsolute bait-and-switch of a browser. They advertise privacy and ad blocking, yet you can't disable their crypto wallets or their Web3 stuff. Who knows what else they'll add in future that people won't be able to switch off.
Most Recent Commentavg-gaymerNot only is it not a Gecko-based browser like Firefox, it shoves even more anti-features - primarily ones related to "cryptocurrency" and "AI"- into the users' face by default. Brave's business model is heavily dependent on these unethical services.
- 86 Mullvad Browser alternatives
The Mullvad Browser is a privacy-focused web browser developed in a collaboration between Mullvad VPN and the Tor Project. It’s designed to minimize tracking and fingerprinting. You could say it’s a Tor Browser to use without the Tor Network.

Comments about Opera as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
Comment summary: Users express concerns over Opera's privacy and data handling, particularly regarding its ownership by a Chinese company, which contrasts with Firefox's open-source and privacy-focused approach. However, Opera receives praise for its speed, design, and features like free VPN and innovative updates. Preferences differ, as some users find Opera too bloated, preferring Firefox, which offers a different browsing experience.Top Positive CommentFayyZIf you want to share your data to the CPP, use this browser, this is the best way to do it ??
Top Negative CommentlinoslavIf we wanted closed source, who knows where's your data now...
Most Recent CommentKelson VOpera used to be good back in the day, but IMO it lost its way in the early 2010s. One of the founders went on to start Vivaldi, which is a spiritual successor to the original, and that one's my current favorite Chromium browser.

Comments about Firefox Focus as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
hundvd7It is essentially a fork of Firefox with ONLY private mode. There is no way to sync anything, to install extensions, and generally do anything permanent except saving sites on the home screen for some reason.
And it has an un-toggleable cookie-banner dismisser, which does not work well, and sometimes breaks sites completely.

Comments about Arc Browser as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
dabocksterArc's UI is really weird, and it's basically another Chrome reskin at its core. But they get a ton of kudos from me for all the work they've done porting Swift to Windows, though.
Shaz ShahThe reviews and the hype got me excited for this browser. It does change the way you use a browser with the idea of spaces and profiles. You do have to be prepared for the change. Unfortunately, my Windows PC would face BSOD with this app, so I couldn't really evaluate it much. I hope they refine the browser, so I can take another look.

Comments about DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser as an Alternative to Mozilla Firefox
mmfoodforthoughtI’ve started using DuckDuckGo Browser a little bit but I’m confused at it’s purpose. Is it a sometimes browser or my everyday google workspace browser.
Vivaldi is simply the next stop for Firefox users, while it is freeware, it is technically closed and open-source. Some of the browser's components are closed while some are open and the source codes are available on Vivaldi's website.
