Comments about VLC Media Player as a Alternative to PotPlayer
Erik EstradaIt's multi-platform, free and open source.
It's very simple to use with no fancy or bloated interfaces yet it has a lot of options for all my needs when using it on the PC and it works perfectly out of the box on other systems too even for playing videos over the network.
0Not as good as Pot Player but whatever
63No thumbnail preview when hover on seekbar.
10mandraelPotPlayer can show a floating thumbnail when hovering over the timeline. PotPlayer can copy the current timecode via hotkey. VLC can't do both :-/
0Shu_Ouma93Rewarded that this software can read all types of files or almost. While that has always given me problems, unlike Potplayer. VLC cannot read all types of video files. Either they don't work or they freeze every few seconds. So it is unwatchable.
