Brave may block third-party trackers, but it collects data on you and will gladly share your information with third-parties, as shown by Switched to Linux. Mozilla, on the other hand, doesn't collect data on you unless you allow them, and you can download extensions that block third-party trackers.

Because the tracking prevention is way worse. The extension page with recommended extensions, for example, sends telemetry data to Google. Also, Google is the default search engine, which just screams tracking to me.

Good base browser still but Mozilla is increasingly adding bundled paid services into it. I understand they have to find other sources of funding besides Google donations, but it's still something to be aware of.

The most privacy-oriented browser there is. However, due to its learning curve and different setup, it's easier to use by the power user. If you don't want to learn how to use Tor, go with Firefox. Brave collects your data and displays you ads.

Absolute overkill unless you live under an oppressive government. Not for normal use.

Similar to FireFox, it does NOT share any information, it's basically like FireFox on steroids (in a good way). I personally use Waterfox and I think it is really good.

Very much privacy focused and there are many great plugins. Read up on how to shut off WebRTC, it is simple and protects your privacy.

A much improved Firefox fork. Performs comparably to Brave, can be customized for similar functionality.

The DuckDuckGo browser is a fairly new browser that has yet to establish itself on the market. The private antitracking technologies and the very powerful Adblocker are its great strengths. The weaknesses of this browser I see in the RAM management, the not very good and unintuitive design, these aspects cause the browser to work inefficiently and somewhat slowly. But maybe, it will be improved, because from the basic principle, this browser is one of the best alternatives to Brave!
