AppFlowy contributor here, I think it is the perfect Notion alternative for most organizations and individuals who want to control their data. Of Course there may be some features where Notion has edge, but AppFlowy is closing the gap soon.
It feels a bit laggy on online mode (which may be my machine's fault) but you can't simply import your data to the offline database. Imports only work in their servers.
They added insane pricing for Self Hosting, only allowing 1 for all but team plan, meaning for use with my family I have to pay 60$ per month for 6 users. When I am hosting on my own hardware, and not using their AI crap.
Also the editor is still garbage and not following basic keybinds for text editing. cmd/ctrl + left or right should not take me to the beginning of the line but jump word for word.
I had really high hopes for AppFlowy, but it is not worth the cost or time I have put into this app. I guess I once again is looking for a documentation and collaboration tool, that I can use with my family.

In AppFlowy documents (both desktop and web), pressing Cmd/Ctrl + Left/Right moves the cursor to the beginning or end of the current block (or line). AppFlowy Self-hosted Cloud is designed for teams and enterprises that want data control and modular components tailored to their own infrastructure. It includes a Free tier suitable for testing or individual use, which comes with: 1 User Seat (per instance); Up to 3 Guest Editors who can collaborate on selected pages in real time; AppFlowy Web App access; Version History; Unlimited Workspaces and page publishing. We appreciate your high hopes for AppFlowy, and we are continuously working to improve the editor experience and flexibility for our community.
Administrators of self-hosted AppFlowy instances can toggle AI features on or off from the admin panel. This is useful for organizations with data privacy requirements or those that prefer not to use AI capabilities. When disabled, all AI-powered options are hidden from the user interface.

Good potential, but they ignore basic features like #tags that every other program supports. Maybe it will become usable when they start fixing the bugs people upvote. I so wish I could finally drop logseq
A little confused why I can't add new groups when there's a plus sign and line to do so, Every time i type it disappears, but cards have no problem. Board and calendar listings are separate and don't move to eachother. The program Elisi has them integrated. Wouldn't work for my Android.. I guess because it's older.
