Currently Notesnook is the best open-source app for notes and knowledge management. Taking into account that Anytype does not have an access lock in the mobile version (whose platform is more susceptible to theft and loss), in the desktop version it only has a PIN, no MFA, biometric lock, or Passkeys.

Trilium is not really an alternative to notion but more like an alternative for traditionnal note-taking apps. It lacks a few features from notions but you get a distraction-free interface, basic personalisation options, and real-time collaboration. All in a private self-hosted format. If you are searching an alternative to notion, I would recommend anytype.
