"Everything" is an incredible search program when searching by filename. The best by far IMO, but Anytxt is for searching inside of documents. Everything cannot do this. They are best used together.- added Lightweight as a feature to Anytxt Desktop SearchGu
It's v1.0 and it already impresses me. I am used to Everything from Voidtools and of course its better at the moment, but Everthing lacks the possibilty to search in files. Anytxt gave me full text search and i don't even get the indexing. its extremely fast.
Anytxt is the best Content search program I have found. It is fast and hilites the info automatically in a side panel. Like FileSearchy though, it will set a search for Date Modified only, not date created. I realized that neither Anytxt, nor FileSearchy would let me Rename files from context (though they let you go to the files folder where you can do it), so I'm moving to Everything Searcher for a directory file style search. Everything Search doesn't seem to have a good content search. Listary seems to be the fastest basic searcher.
It's like Google for your own files. Those who remember Google Desktop Search will definitely like it. It's incredibly fast An amazing piece of software. I'm surprised it's not better known
