Offline QR Code GeneratorAlternative to ShareAsQR · “there are many such addons but this is good for sure ”

DecoderAlternative to ShareAsQR · “Works fine. You can turn the history off by editing the .desktop entry and adding a "&& rm -rf ~/.var/app/com.belmoussaoui.Decoder" after the "Exec=" command. This will remove the app's storage after it closes, effectively clearing the history.”

Recording StudioAlternative to RecordEqualizer · “simple and elegant. not tested on high or low volume, which is a critical test where many recorders fail ”

Android-x86Alternative to GrapheneOS · “Completely different project. Also they are often using very old Android Versions. Completely different purpose, and often there is no real use for it.”

/e/Alternative to GrapheneOS · “Its just fancy LineageOS. I think their GUI and some tools are cool, but they need to base off GrapheneOS to be Legit.”

LineageOSAlternative to GrapheneOS · “LineageOS is fine on non-Pixel phones. Some versions even support SELinux Enforcing, OTA updates and a relockable Bootloader. I hope they will use many GrapheneOS features like: - hardened kernel and malloc - sandboxed Play services instead of the insanely insecure microg - Vanadium Webview, Browser and PDF viewer - Auditor, Camera, etc. ”

Sailfish OSAlternative to GrapheneOS · “GrapheneOS is FOSS and security focused.”

UbportsAlternative to GrapheneOS · “Not secure. Firmware is mostly untouched and the software is not checked for integrity etc. Android is way more secure. ”

macOSAlternative to Qubes OS · “just no”

Linux MintAlternative to Qubes OS · “not hardened, not secure at all. It uses X11 which is a very insecure Compositor. Every app can read other apps, listen to keystrokes etc. Only use trusted opensource apps there, from official repos. Also Mint is very slow on updates, often being behind Ubuntu quite a bit. It is said to be easy to use, but really often is just a pain, as its so outdated and a weird mix of Ubuntu and legacy tools.”

UbuntuAlternative to Qubes OS · “not hardened, not containerized. snaps dont count I would say, even though it may be similar and for sure way better than system packages. Ubuntu is for usability and not security”
