What once was the go to solution for a free, fast and unbloated web-browsing experience is now advertizing and selling its own services while adding unwanted feature after unwanted feature. Being fast is now dependent on your hardware and internet connection. It's still a good solution, but i had to switch to a fork (Waterfox) in hopes to avoid most of Mozilla's bullshit. What are you up to Mozilla ? What do you stand for ? Nowadays, nothing more than a brand.

Excellent alternative to Google Maps, because, contrary to OpenStreetMap (which it relies on heavily though) it is not just a map and provides loads of functionalities that've become essential to many users. Only problem i see for now is the UI is not the best and i sometimes find myself searching for the right button more i'd like to. But that's to be expected when including so many features. Hopefully this will be worked on in the future !
Being the first ever functional GNU Taler integration, this makes be-BOP a very interesting project to keep an eye on. I'm not a client myself so i'll let actual users review it, so hopefully it'll go in the right direction.
Founded by some of the people who worked on Ampled and learned from its failures. It's slowly building up and accumulating steam over time. It's already great, and might just become fantastic !
I don't like the fact that they're selling their platform on the virtues of it being a "democratic cooperative" while they seeked venture capital only to instantly reward both its founders with a 145k$ annual salary. Do note i'm not an artist though, and have not been using the platform.

Only missing feature would be to read from any app, or from any file. It's really good as is !
is also a GBA emulator
lib.reviews is now being maintained with AI assistance through the newly created Permacommons project (https://permacommons.org/). It does mean progress has been made on the website in 2025, and ongoing improvments are being worked on.
Data Monitor

It works, but to be actually useful to me it would need some much needed features: cut internet connection when limit is reached, weekly/monthly limits instead of only daily limits, data usage/tracking from different SIM cards, add monthly data for rechargeable data plans etc... Still, this is currently the best available app for the job !
