Shopify has always been kind of moody with community projects. Back in mid-2010s, when Rails was hot (because mostly Twitter was using it), it created Sorbet, a type-checker tool for Ruby (that always has abused its duck-typing system). It was abandoned less than two years later when React became a thing. Now its open-source libraries when in maintenance mode (until the end of the year) because React is dead (thanks of AI, or not), even if the Shopify app (only one of its few apps) is still...
