What is NetGuard?
NetGuard is a software that controls and monitors internet access on your device. It restricts internet access using basic and advanced methods without needing root permissions. Users can grant or deny internet access to specific applications and addresses on Wi-Fi and mobile connections. This helps manage data usage, conserve battery life, and enhance privacy.
NetGuard is user-friendly, open-source, ad-free, and does not participate in tracking or analytics. It is compatible with Android 5.1 and later, supports IPv4/IPv6 TCP/UDP, and also supports tethering. It allows access when the screen is on, blocks access when roaming or for system applications. Users can receive notifications when an application accesses the internet and record network usage per application per address. The software has a material design theme, with both light and dark themes.
NetGuard's PRO features include logging all outgoing traffic, searching and filtering access attempts, and exporting PCAP files for traffic analysis. It allows or blocks individual addresses per application and notifies users about new applications. Users can directly configure NetGuard from these notifications. It also displays a network speed graph in a status bar notification. Five additional themes, in both light and dark versions, are included in the PRO features.

Great app, can block websites either on a blacklist or whitelist model, obviously made for advanced users, has a great user interface and works like wonders, i reccomend anyone to give it a try.
This app contains non-free components/libraries (Google BillingClient), app promotes or depends entirely on a non-free network service (connects to Google servers — billing, PlayStore).
The free version didn't block my Whatsapp and I got screwed because I was counting on it. I expected the blocking to leave me totally inactive, with people only receiving message confirmation on the Whatsapp server only and not on my cell phone (one checkmark), but in some cases messages arrived on my cell too (two checkmarks).
