This has saved me so many hours of nonsense. I finished my task in a few hours, but that was worth the price and I immediately purchased it. This is what I wanted. Customizable, efficient, and faaaaast.

I really like xplorer2. I just cannot imagine how lightweight and fast it is. It only uses 6.1 MB of memory on my PC with so many useful features!
In comparison, Total Commander uses about 20 MB, XYplorer uses about 30 MB and One Commander uses more than 1000 MB!!!!!

The software developer is a scammer. They promised me a discount on the purchase if I write a positive review on this website, but the developer did not fulfill his promise to me.
First they asked me for $30, then $60 when I wrote a review, and then they asked me for $140.4. I already paid $100 for the one-time purchase and the upgrade, so spending another $140.4 is too much.
Would you pay $240.4 to buy this app? I can only recommend another app, regardless of how complete it is. Who knows, maybe someday the developer will get his pockets tight and ask for more money from the buyer. I do not recommend this app and plan to submit this to a reporter with proof.
Something doesn't sound right here... the cost of xplorer2 registration is $29.95 ($49.95 if you go for the "ultimate" version). This is with the standard 1 year of updates... it is another $49.95 or $69.95 for the lifetime upgrade addon - of which has paid for itself about 3 times now, so is well worth it IMO... so if you were asked to pay more than $119.9 (for ultimate, with lifetime upgrade), this was a scam, and probably nothing to do with Zabkat.
First of all, I would like to thank you pfeerick, for listening to my story with interest and for your time.
I have spoken to the developer Nikos Bozinis, he and I have a long history of communication and I don't think he was drunk when he spoke to me. I don't have any expectations from him anymore.
To make another story short, I asked him to improve the preview of the latest codecs. His reply back was a bullshit answer: he advised me to buy another software he made and is selling, even though I have a completely different use for it.
If xplorer shows me a vision of tomorrow, I'm willing to pay even 1000$ for it. But I don't want to bet my future on an unreasonable overcharge when he's still living in the past. Xplorer2 is just resting on its laurels and getting further and further away from reality. It's just a legacy of the early days of Windows, and it's just a memory of the past, and it's time we admitted that.
I've been using xplorer2 for a long time, but this is the perfect reason to switch to double commander and total commander.
Thank you, BD
just to set the record straight, this customer has bought twice since 2016, both older versions without lifetime cover. I don't know where the figures he's talking about come from. A new purchase for ultimate + lifetime costs $110 + taxes.

I've been using xplorer2 since 2007, first for free, and then paid, and then upgrading to the "ultimate" version. I have not regretted this for one minute, and continue to find new features in xplorer2 as my needs change. I have no doubt there are many, many features that I have never used, or don't need (or so I might think), but at least they are there should that time arise. And Nikos continues to add great new features, and stomp on any bugs found, with each new release.
I have been using xplorer2 since 2007 or 2008. On one side, it is very powerful and yet easy to use. On the other side, I have not finished learning all the great things it can do. I have no doubt in my mind to say that xplorer2 has, in fact, increased my personal productivity comparing before using it and after. There are unique features like displaying the size of folders in bytes, flattening the contents of multiple folders as if all files belonged to a single folder, etc. Very powerful features very easy to use that to me, have become the day to day way of work. Frankly I feel lost when I work on another Windows PC that does not have xplorer2 installed.... THERE IS ALSO a solution for that because there is xplorer2 portable. So I can "transport" my tool to every PC I need to work on. Cheers !!!
Great software for productivity. I download whenever I install windows. It is better than built in explorer of Windows.
pros: Performance is good and RAM usage is decent. Considering the downsides related to the UI below, I was surprised that Miller columns were built in.
cons: The problem is that due to the outdated UI that was only usable in the early 2000s, the overall UX is less intuitive and less accessible and difficult.
For example, bookmarks cannot create folders. If you cannot create folders, how do you manage many bookmarks folders? Overall, it lacks advanced features for a paid app. It doesn't have the bulk file renaming feature found in other free explorer apps. It seems that it can be done with a script, but it seems very difficult for first-time users to use.
It's hard to use anymore, so I guess I'll have to stop here. I will write more reviews later.
