Switched from Total Commander to FreeCommander to Double Commander. If you worked with either one of these, you'll be instantly familiar with Double Commander.

For me, it's a must have tool. Cannot work without it. Explorer doesn't come even close to functionality offered by these file manager tools.

Unlike lot of others dual-panel file managers, Double Commander is only one which supports many of TC plugins: WCX, WDX, etc. You just doesn't have another free alternative to TC.

I miss Norton Commander (even though it's still a DOS version) or Windows Explorer until the Microsoft Windows 3.11 version, now I can use at least 2 slide features in 1 explorer

It somehow feels heavy to use, but to my surprise, it still continues development after 14 years. You might find some useful and somewhat rare tools in this.. like a simplified file combine ability.

Can't imagine working with files without dual-pane file manager. Good alternative to Total Commander in Linux.

I mean it works, but lacks polish. Haven't used TC in years and installed both just now. +This has tooltips with hotkeys for search. -can't find move button, takes time, will be common for new people(F6). Can't ALT+F7(search) in a search list (error in DC, works in TC) need to click somewhere else. Items in view are double the size in DC and ctrl+scroll only changes font size, not how many fit, great for people in need but no customisation.

It's good from functional point of view, but looks ugly on macOS. And since v.0.9.10 I can't find the package, you have to build it by yourself :(
