Contrary to many of the comments here, Filezilla does support SFTP. Both SFTP and SCP are SSH-based file transfer protocols and usually when you can use one, you can use both. SCP doesn't allow browsing the filesystem, it's transfer only, so WinSCP is actually using a hacky workaround: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/requirements#scp

I prefer WinSCP, personally, but Filezilla is a perfectly good alternative.

It's not an SCP client, just (S)FTP

They accomplish similar goals by presenting information and allowing actions to be taken in similar ways. WinSCP has the edge because it integrates PuTTy and the UI is a little more intuitive and versatile. The only reason i stopped using Filezilla and adopted WinSCP was simply because with Filezilla you have to wait until a file operation has completed (such as recursive directory deletion or file transfer), whereas WinSCP allows you to work asyncronously. Both have done nothing but improve over the years, so my comments may not be valid for long..!

Some AVs block FileZilla on macOS for some reason and I couldn't use it. Cyberduck is excellent alternative Open Source as it is very similar to all of them.
