    WinSCP is not available for Linux but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on Linux with similar functionality. The best Linux alternative is FileZilla, which is both free and Open Source.     1. FileZilla is a powerful FTP-client. It has been designed for ease of use and with support for as many features as possible, while still being fast and reliable.

      greenseeker Contrary to many of the comments here, Filezilla does support SFTP. Both SFTP and SCP are SSH-based file transfer protocols and usually when you can use one, you can use both. SCP doesn't allow browsing the filesystem, it's transfer only, so WinSCP is actually using a hacky workaround: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/requirements#scp I prefer WinSCP, personally, but Filezilla is a perfectly good alternative.

    3. SSHFS allows you to mount a remote filesystem using SFTP. Most SSH servers support and enable this SFTP access by default, so SSHFS is very simple to use - there's nothing to do on the server-side.
