I respect Windows ability to just make each subsequent version worse. Win XP was slick and efficient for its days. Then we had 7, which is also solid, but the telemetrics stuff started getting out of control. Then 10 came. Bloating in general, not just telemetrics got out of control. Now Win 11 merrily eats up 6GB of RAM idling. Since it is proprietary I have no idea what is under the hood. The processes are also helpfully named 'Windows Host Agent' etc. Microsoft has the best engineers out...

Windows 11 has given me enough reasons to abandon Microsoft. How can a paid licensing operating system have so many unresolved issues and inconsistencies? Since I updated my machine to Windows 11, I have faced so many problems that I have had to format my machine more than 5 (five) times! Here are the issues I found and validated with my peers: 1- Windows Update forces the installation of inconsistent network drivers that cause problems with VPN tunneling; 2- Several Regedit keys simply do...

spyware, bloatware, inefficient hardware resource usage, incompatible with older hardwares and what not?
the only pros of this operating system is that you get extensive proprietary software compatibility. most drivers, games, creative tools etc are always compatible with windows.
some idiot thinks popular means better. microsoft windows is popular because they do marketing and makes sure windows is preinstalled on all laptops. on the other hand community driven operating systems like arch...

Requires TPM 2.0. A lot of older machines won't be supported.
That can be circumnavigated. But honestly with the bloating on Win11 any older machine will just die simply by running out of RAM.

The processes are also helpfully named 'Windows Host Agent' etc. Microsoft has the best engineers out there. They must have decided between themselves the goal for Win11 is for it to be as bloated as possible so they can generate tons of ad and data sale revenue, and force average users off hardware with reasonable specs to buy new fancy laptops. Solid business strategy I have to say. The strategy just unfortunately involves making Win11 as terrible as possible.

its disappointing how microsoft charges about $200 for windows 11 pro. i would rather pay someone else that much to improve my linux experience, maybe make me a custom hyprland configuration files?
You summarised almost everything about Microsoft. I just can't believe that people voted you down. Windows trolls I reckon.
Windows 11 has given me enough reasons to abandon Microsoft. How can a paid licensing operating system have so many unresolved issues and inconsistencies? Since I updated my machine to Windows 11, I have faced so many problems that I have had to format my machine more than 5 (five) times! Here are the issues I found and validated with my peers: 1- Windows Update forces the installation of inconsistent network drivers that cause problems with VPN tunneling; 2- Several Regedit keys simply do not work as expected, even when modified strictly following all Microsoft standards; 3- Many inconsistencies in Gpedit, making the application of rules in Windows Pro editions and above, whose licenses are even more expensive, completely ineffective; 4- When booting, it is mandatory to log into the user account, even if it is the only account on the machine so that VPN apps, for example, can start in the background to establish a connection(??); 5- Many VBS conflicts with third-party virtualization resources and senseless blocks that limit the use of virtualization only to the Microsoft Hypervisor; 6- The absurd accumulation of critical errors in the Event Viewer (Kernel, processes, devices) without any glimpse of a solution; 7- The abnormal disappearance of the mouse pointer at critical moments; 8- The hibernate command causing the device to inadvertently reboot in the BIOS battery test mode (??); 9- Among other interface problems that users have no choice but to accept, such as the taskbar with far fewer features than in Windows 10. Not to mention the greater consumption and general wear and tear of hardware, and I was able to notice this, even having a machine with 32GB RAM, Ryzen 5 5600H and 2TB NVMe. I find this Microsoft strategy of adopting as definitive an operating system that looks more like a beta with incomplete features and the features that exist, in addition to being limited, are full of errors, stupid. We are seeing Windows follow the same fate as Windows Mobile. More than 3 years after its launch, Windows 11 still looks like a beta version, full of visual inconsistencies, where at the same time that it lacks features, as if the system were being built from scratch, it still drags on screens with a legacy design from Windows 7. It looks like an Operating System completely made by AI. We are seeing a perfect match for Windows Vista in 2024, ladies and gentlemen. For those who have not yet updated, I recommend keeping your Windows 10 installation, even if it is close to the end of support, or downgrading, if you have already updated, or migrating to Linux or Mac, because the user experience matters little to Microsoft and matters less every day. In this regard, the company has become blind, dedicating itself only to the desires of its shareholders and the profit that comes from the corporate sector to the detriment of users who really need the system to function in a minimally decent way.

I think Windows 11 is garbage and I wish Microsoft would stop making bad software
Getting an AI, a garbage browser, and ads shoved down your throat after paying is crazy bruh. But i just can't switch to linux because I'm not ready for most fl studio stuff not supporting it natively. Truly a world I live in. At least it looks nice ig
