thallisphpBuilt-in in many linux distro. Simple and excellent. It does not display any advertising. It has speed control and queue manager
9John FastmanTransmission is an easy-to-use, open source torrent client. It's an excellent alternative to uTorrent because it is open source, which means you can have higher confidence in it not violating your privacy, e.g. through reporting what you're downloading. Transmission is as good an alternative as qBittorrent, but has a simpler interface.

BiglyBT VS µTorrent
Is BiglyBT a good alternative to µTorrent?Comments about BiglyBT as an Alternative to µTorrent
WladroteCoz it's totally FOSS and there's a good Android vers. of it.
0Laggy, bad programming using operating system windows to search metadata for magnets, will kill your system when pasting too many magnets.
0BiglyBT is a fork of Vuze with the same rich feature set, plugin support (i.e. webtorrent, decentralized chat, and even TOR), and no ad/malware. Being Java based makes it compatible with most platforms, but resource usage is still light, especially with tweaking.

Comments about qBittorrent as an Alternative to µTorrent
qBittorrent is really good. Just a solid program. I tried a bunch a few years ago. There might've come new and better alternatives since then - but either way, qBittorrent is good and will serve you well.
After uTorrent pulling all kinds of crap, I decided to switch over to qBit. It's basically what uTorrent was back in the day. Neither does it have ads and supports wide range of configuration. If you to get as far as you can from commercialism, this is it.
Nice UI on Qt6 + Theme support
It is a free and open source torrent client that has a built in search engine. unlike utorrent it has no ads and no spyware.
Almost every aspect is better than uTorrent. Exception: no tag drag&drop :(
