BiglyBT is the revived Vuze, minus ads and bloatware. Vuze/BiglyBT is one of the most powerful and feature-rich torrent clients (and also quite RAM-hungry) with a complex interface that you may either love or hate. The developers are available on the built-in chat for bug reports or support.
Very nice, informative GUI which eats a lot of RAM and causes to freeze the application regularly. (On my machine sometimes almost 4GB). This is not for mortals like me. This should not be a Java app.
I see no reason to use this instead of qBittorrent.
Some cra$.
It showing me error message, that another process use it network socket, even if I searched with netstat and found nothing. Also, during installation it asked me to restarting PC. No, I not allowed him to restarting my PC and think it shouldn't ask. Which century we have, so program installers restarting PC?
stable, reliable, plenty of features.
BiglyBT is likely the most solid and feature rich client out there. It is fine for both beginners and experts, but truly it provides a full set of capabilities that no other client provides. You can easily handle thousands of torrents, categorize, tag, move, set speed rules, and much much more. It allows swarm merging and swarm discoveries. It can easily find already downloaded files on selected locations. It has advanced features to manage files locations and move them around. It can create internal links to files, so to seed the same file to multiple torrents.
It is a comprehensive torrenting platform, open source, ad free, and professionally supported by its great development team.
Totally reccomended.
BiglyBT was good at the start with no ads, no third party crap. But now with the latest version B3.1.0.0/4 az3 it now appears to have my two anti-viruses finding a Trojan.Win32.Downloader.sa and 4 items: Adware.Win64.Downloader.sa These were found with my Gridinsoft Anti-Malware which I have been using for 6 years now and also found by Malwarebytes Premium. I was always pleased with Vuze even though there were ads and stuff but did not have the really bad SH$T attached with it. This has now become just another sh*ty app filled with Trojans, Malware and Adware. : ( I am now going to go with a better torrent app in-place of BiglyBT.
I've been using Vuze (formerly Azureus) since its early days. Unfortunately, this client is not being updated for several (years) time and no body answers.
BiglyBT's team (I hate that name, sorry, but) is taking the best from Vuze Core, polishing, cleaning, bug fixing and open sourcing everything. I've been using it from some days and I'm completely happy with what they're doing and how they're making great features work again. Fast, clean, simple, full of great plugins and features, open source, add-free, and with somebody who answers and solve problems.
