The app has worked reliably for me for 14.5 years using a number of different Logitech mice (that had between 10 and 14 buttons). It allows you to fine-tweak your mouse's behavior, and the option to create different button mappings for individual apps is very useful.
Downloaded and installed this... and the one feature I want - the one that USB Overdrive doesn't have - the ability to map buttons to user-defined key clicks is there. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all on my El Capitan iMac, I spent some time fussing with it, with no results whatever. I can assign the keys, but they don't actually do anything. I suspect it's the Adesso E10 mouse I use. If this worked, I'd gladly shell out for it. Damn.
This app alone makes Mac OS usable for me. $20 seems a lot for such a tool, but it's priceless.
