A low-cost, capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like games, spreadsheets and word-processing. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by children and young people all over the world to learn programming.

I love RPi for 24*7 headless usage. Hope they produce Intel Atom versions too. There are others that do so but you know.... RPi has the greatest community & support.
Do you have a project you want to do? Well let me introduce you to the little box that just won't! Do you need to run software? Well it can't unless it's 20+ year old games or a web browser - because Linux is a godforsaken mess and always has been. Plus, thanks to ARM, there's even LESS software to choose from. Oh, your Pi 4 is overheating? Well we make a fan for it! Don't use it though because it'll burn out the device's power delivery. Mess with FSTAB? Time to brick the entire SD card! I tried to hard to like the RP foundation and their products but they're absolute trash in every way and not even fit for a one-time amusement, let alone any kind of job you can imagine. There are better, cheaper and more versatile SBCs to choose from. Avoid this crap for children and save yourself unlimited headaches and expense.
UPDATE: This absolute broken pile of puke just bricked the 3rd SD card in a row and I am done with anything to do with the RPF. I will use 2nd hand NUCs or RockPi instead - they aren't made by these MORONS and thus actually WORK.
No these arguments are not valid !
Not an argument.
Easy to use and small with more power than it looks like.
A list of reasons why you would want to use a raspberry pi:
