    QuickTile is described as 'A lightweight utility for allowing you to quickly snap windows to a tiling grid under your existing Linux window manager. Can be triggered via keyboard shortcuts, the command line, or D-Bus calls' and is a Window Manager in the os & utilities category. There are more than 50 alternatives to QuickTile for a variety of platforms, including Mac, Windows, Linux, Android and BSD. The best alternative is AquaSnap, which is free. Other great apps like QuickTile are WindowGrid, BetterTouchTool, altdrag and Divvy.

    3. BetterTouchTool is a great, feature packed app that allows you to configure many gestures for your Magic Mouse (1 & 2), Macbook Trackpad and Magic Trackpad (1 & 2) and also Mouse Gestures for normal mice.
    4. AltDrag allows you to move and resize windows much easier. When you have it running you can simply hold down the Alt key and then use your mouse to drag any window, and it doesn't matter where in the window you click.
    5. Divvy is an entirely new way of managing your workspace. It allows you to quickly and efficiently "divvy up" your screen into exact portions.

      The project seems no longer developed. Last version, 1.5.2, released in August 2019, can be still downloaded and bought from the official website and from the Appstore.



    6. ShiftIt is an application for OSX that allows you to quickly manipulate window position and size using keyboard shortcuts. It intends to become a full featured window organizer for OSX.
