Comments about Fedora as an Alternative to openSUSE
John FastmanFedora and OpenSuse are both excellent distros. What makes Fedora most obviously similar to OpenSuse is that they both use .rpm software packages. Fedora's default desktop is Gnome 3, in contrast to OpenSuse's KDE Plasma. But, of course, you can install whatever desktop you like in either case.

Comments about Windows 10 as an Alternative to openSUSE
Joseph LeskeyWindows is by no means a Linux distro, and it shows. It suffers from its somewhat bloated nature and is ultimately a product meant to turn a profit. OpenSUSE users enjoy a much more streamlined and lightweight operating system that puts the user first. OpenSUSE users also benefit from other key Linux features such as an impressive package repository and frequent unobtrusive updates.
