Said about Nvidia ShadowPlay as an alternative
ShadowPlay can always be running in the background (if you set it to capture windows mode as well), making it easy to record the last X minutes (if something of note happened that you didn't plan on recording), or you manually toggle recording on/off. It's mainly targeted towards gaming, but can be used to record anything in a pinch. Supports webcam, audio/mic (including separate tracks), and uploading to hosting providers.
Radeon ReLive is to AMD what ShadowPlay is to Nvidia: It offers the same features (Instant Replay, Streaming, Screenshots) for those who use an AMD Graphics card.

GARBAGE. Requires 2fa at every single update, extremely unreliable, performance heavy - you name it, this pile of puke has got that problem. Windows game bar is better. It is in Windows anyway, and it works. Just bind alt+f10 to capture and you've replaced shadowpaly entirely without that stupid geforce experience crap.
