I use mRemoteNG at work to log on to Windows servers (RDP) and Linux servers (ssh). Wanted something similar at home where I run Ubuntu and Kubuntu. I remembered Ubuntu coming with Remmina and it supported VNC, RDP, and ssh. This fits into what I need and works great.
Imo the best alternative to mRemoteNG so far is only Linux/BSD.
Remmina has always been my go to application for RDP on Linux and led me to find something better in Windows i.e. mRemoteNG.

Software update cycle is much more often and recent, documentation is current and extensive, it's supported on multiple OS platforms, and the community support is far superior than with mRemoteNG. I would highly recommend checking it out.
I can manage about 20 servers on a regular basis. It's a very nice and constantly updated app.
DWService is a half (only the client/agent) open source project which offers a service that allows access to remote systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, Raspberry...) using a standard web browser - without any component required on the client side.
