In terms of cost and usability, I think OneDrive is the best product out there. I've tried so many cloud providers like Amazon, Google, Dropbox, Box etc etc and I think that OneDrive is the most trustworthy platform and great if you're concerned of your data suddenly being deleted because some automated scan suspects something "illegal" on your account (for example, Google has a habit of suspecting pirated content exists and disabling your entire account over it)

With all that said, it's not perfect. The Android app tends to ignore your requests to ONLY upload photos (it uploads screenshots and various other junk you don't want in your Camera Roll) and the UserVoice feature suggestions are basically ignored. There's no file tree directory view and you can't unzip within the browser. These aren't features that absolutely destroy your use of the service - but they are basic essentials!

Use it all the time to keep track of my files for work and personal. No matter the device, I can almost instantly share my files. Amazing storage at a cheap price!

When compared to alternatives such as Google Drive and Dropbox, OneDrive is terrible. Issues I have include files not syncing, opening files as read-only after clicking to open an editable copy, and finding newer versions of a synced file on the server.

The best thing about OneDrive other than lots of people using it already is that it can sync SharePoint sites, making it good for businesses in this one regard.

Syncs Desktop and Documents folders on Windows without user's consent making some apps which store temporary data in Documents folder non-functional. Then alarms that remaining free storage space is dwindling, thus user needs to buy subscription.

The app interface from which sync settings could be tweaked disappeared from the system completely.

Abhorrent service. 1/10, won't recommend.

Just random. Folders and files synced to OneDrive randomly appear/disappear in the interfaces: you can have a file in the web app, that does not appear neither on your mobile nor on your OneDrive folder on your PC. And no way to refresh, resync, re-anything. It is absolutely unusable.

I used OneDrive for a while because I have Office 365 (which I hear is going away) and it gives me 1TB of online storage to go along with it. For a while it worked pretty well (on Windows). It totally ignores Mac and Linux devices, where I had to buy and install ExpanDrive to use my OneDrive like I do on the PC. Accessing OneDrive via a browser is a joke. It really has no good features that make it act like a professional service. It's like a starter web page made by children for children. On my Mac, suddenly my files are buried under obscure directories under ~/Library somewhere. I've always been used to keeping my Documents, Pictures, Videos, Desktop, etc. right in my home directory. This is not acceptable to me because I can't always remember the long directory path to get to my files on my own computer. And if I move the directories, bye-bye OneDrive sync. I don't understand why they (or ExpanDrive) suddenly moved everything out of my home directory. Fun note: Apple did exactly the same thing with their iCloud service. Funny, I though these files and directories were mine, not belonging to Microsoft or Apple to move into obscure subdirectories so deep you need a miner's pick and light to find them.

There are multiple versions of OneDrive depending on where you download them from. The Apple AppStore version, for example, periodically corrupts the account and forces you to delete everything and re-find every folder you want to sync. Individually. This occurs about every 2-4 weeks.

All of the versions, however, offer zero control over how and where files are stored, burying things in nested folders, or in insanely long file names. On Windows it doesn't even allow you to store files on an internal hard drive it decides is unsuitable.

OneDrive is absolutely awful.
