Almost everyone thinks Crowdin is a great alternative to memoQ.

Crowdin's website says it all really: "a cloud-based solution that streamlines localization management for your team." That is, Crowdin is not a CAT tool for translators, like memoQ, Trados Studio, Déjà Vu, Wordfast, CafeTran, etc.

POEditor is not a real CAT tool for translators, like memoQ, Trados Studio, Déjà Vu, Wordfast, CafeTran, etc. As a translator, you would have to be insane to use this as your main CAT tool. If you insist on using open source software, try OmegaT (or DGT-OmegaT) instead.
