Transifex
Cloud-Based Translation Management. Free for open source projects.
What is Transifex?
Source content and translations are automatically synced to a global content repository that’s accessible any time. Various teams work and communicate directly in Transifex with translators and project managers from any vendor.
Transifex integrates with your development process, apps, service providers, and CMS – instead of forcing you into an All-In-One mold. Use with agencies, translators, or even crowdsource your translations.
Translators work on live content in the development cycle.
Manage your localization efforts from one place. Oversee projects and collaborate with translators. Build personalized multilingual experiences. Automate the localization process from start to finish.
Transifex is a modern localization workflow and crowdsourcing platform, suited for software and dynamic content translation.
Workflow Management Full control over your localization process. Great integrations with your own systems and workflow using our client app, libraries and a rich API.
Continuous localization An online internationalization tool which adapts to the production cycle of fast-paced teams with dynamic content and agile releases.
Coordinated collaboration Create self-managed language teams under your project. Invite 10 professional or 10.000 volunteer translators. Or both.
Quality control Translation Memory, glossary, proofreading, translation suggestions with voting. All the tools you'll ever need to ensure high quality.

Closed its code-base and spies on users with tracking. Clunky non-modifiable UI, with no interface wide navigation. Effectively takes projects hostage when it finds it opportune to require subscriptions. Deleted translations end up as suggestions for other strings. No gratis hosting for libre software that has source of revenue. Broken messaging system. Can only be used online, by people over 18 years old. Famously bad support, even for organizations that pay $200.000+ a year.
Open source projects are free to localize without limitations in the word count.
This is no longer true. You can't even have a source of revenue.
