What is lod.ink?
lod.ink is a secure cloud storage and file sharing platform designed for individuals, freelancers, and teams who value privacy and simplicity.
With 15GB of free storage, users can upload files of any type, generate private download links, and share them instantly with anyone — no recipient account required. Password-protected links and expiration dates are available on the free plan, with no forced upgrades for basic secure sharing.
Key features include resumable large file uploads, instant in-browser previews for documents, PDFs, Office files, videos, and audio, shared team workspaces with granular viewer and uploader permissions, and a developer-friendly API for automating file workflows.
lod.ink is a practical alternative to Google Drive, Dropbox, and WeTransfer for users who want fast, private, and straightforward file sharing without complexity or subscription pressure.

Comments and Reviews
See all the guys who post positive comments here? They all seem like clone accounts. Anyway, this service tracks you like other standard SaaS services, and it doesn't ask for cookie consent either. Some features they add 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 are wrong, too.
(Edit: the developer of this service just wrote a response. So... let me clarify myself a bit.
When I say "Some features they add 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 are wrong, too", I mean this service's tags on AlternativeTo aren't right (yet). "No Tracking"? Wrong. "End-to-End Encryption"? Doesn't seem right (you do not advertise the wrong thing on your website, but wrong tagging on this site isn't encouraged, too.
It's still good to see you responding to my comment; I really appreciate it.
Have a nice day).
Thanks for the honest feedback — this is exactly the kind of comment I'd rather have than silence.
A few things worth addressing directly:
On the cookie consent: You're right. We have a cookie notice enabled on the platform, but I'll admit the implementation needs improvement. This is on my list and I'm working on making it more explicit and GDPR-compliant.
On tracking: lod.ink uses Google Analytics for basic usage analytics — this is disclosed in our Privacy Policy. We don't sell data or use it for advertising. That said, I hear the concern and I'm looking at more privacy-friendly analytics alternatives.
On the "clone accounts": I genuinely don't have a network of fake accounts. Early users tend to be people I know or who found the tool through communities I posted in — so the comments may look similar in tone. I can't prove a negative, but I'm not running a fake review campaign.
On the wrong features: I'd genuinely like to know which ones you think are inaccurate. If something is listed that doesn't work as described, I want to fix it immediately.
I'm a solo builder and this is a real product I built to solve a real problem. Critical feedback makes it better.
I tried the app and found it really fast and easy to use. The fact that it offers around 15 GB for free is also great since it let me transfer more files compared to many other apps.
Really impressed with how easy and secure this platform is. No annoying limits like other services, and the fact that clients don’t need an account makes collaboration so much easier. Definitely a great alternative to traditional file-sharing tools.
lod.ink looks like a very practical solution for file sharing and cloud storage. Instant in-browser previews for PDFs and media are a great touch, and the platform seems designed with simplicity in mind. For freelancers and small teams, having secure sharing options and generous free storage could make it a really appealing alternative to traditional services.
Really impressed with how simple and efficient this platform is. Uploading files takes only a few seconds and sharing them with others is effortless. The clean interface and smooth performance make it a great tool for anyone who needs quick and reliable file sharing. Definitely a useful service.
Super fast, reliable, and incredibly easy to use. I’ve tried many cloud services, but this one stands out for its seamless performance. Highly recommended
