What is Launchy?
Launchy is a free Windows and Linux utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes.
The project seems to be no longer maintained: last stable version, 2.5, and beta version, 2.6 beta2, were released in 2010. The program works anyway and can be still downloaded from the official website.

- Upvoted a comment on LaunchyDiscontinued and doesn't properly support latest Windows 10 feature, such as apps installed via App Store. Also UI looks out-dated.
- reviewed LaunchyI'm late to the party. Started with Everything Search, Listary, Keypirinha first in 2022, and then Launchy. Noticed Launchy crashing on Win 10, and it seems others have, too. Running all these things together may have to do with it, and maybe changing program priorities may help. Not sure if there's a good reason to keep Launchy anymores considering it's abandoned and newer programs probably have more capability, but it might be good for keeping separate settings. 9/22 On the other hand it installed easily when Listary and Wox blocked on a .Net 4.8 issue.
