It lacks the simplicity and the 'just-works' feel of Irfan. gThumb keeps resizing images, doesn't respond logically to a scroll wheel and has an overal annoying interface.

In addition to functioning as an excellent alternative to IrfanView's image viewing capabilities (I love IrfanView personally, but enjoy a little variety sometimes, too), Imagine also includes an animation viewer and even provides screenshot capabilities, acting as a "GreenShot/IrfanView".
