Hushmail say they're a privacy-oriented webmail, but in 2007 they modified their code for the feds to catch a user's password. Protonmail are based in Switzerland and at the mo there's no evidence of such stuff with them. Hushmail hasn't developed its features in a long time; Protonmail is younger but more active and open source. But it lacks PGP key import-export - that's in the pipeline.
