this is one of the best program for drive information, live monitoring and Testing. I have been using it for many years. [+] Rich with features. [+] Top level service support. [+] Storage information Database [+] portable Version.
My system was acting up and Hard Disk Sentinel showed very clearly that the Disk Drive was ready to go in 30 days. I AM glad that I found out before I lost data. Free version does have a point of annoyance though.. The default starts with Windows and then does a countdown making you wait before you can shut it off. You can change that setting under: Configuration..Preferences.
Great program for active drive monitoring, also includes benchmark and surface scans. Great price, includes family licenses
It's a great app to monitor your HDD or even SSD life
CrystalDiskInfo stopped enumerating my HDDs after a certain amount - HDS however works like a treat!
This is by far the most comprehensive tool i've come across for testing lots of hard drives, destructively or not. Keeping tabs of the ones I buy over time, and decommissioning ones that are obviously failing before they become truly trouble. There isn't anything else like it.
I love this app. It is lightweight, unobtrusive, information rich, and can be a big money-saver. It notified me of a drive having a small percentage of errors. No other utility I know will do this (as well as disk temperatures, etc.) Because I was warned I updated my backup of the disk (was not my boot or primary disk) and it failed soon after.
