Waterfox is made for x64 (amd64) CPUs, and it also delivers you a fine service concerning privacy, firstly devs removed telemetry and tracking implented recently in Firefox. Secondly it supports old extensions and pocket was removed

Dated when compared to actual Firefox, some extensions doesn't work properly due to it being based on a old version of Firefox.

Largely stays true to the regular Firefox experience. You can still use your Mozilla account to sync, you can still make it look effectively the same, and it seems to nowadays be based on as latest of a Firefox version as possible.

Vivaldi is simply the next stop for Firefox users, while it is freeware, it is technically closed and open-source. Some of the browser's components are closed while some are open and the source codes are available on Vivaldi's website.

There's no good reason to use a closed source browser like Vivaldi when there are so many open source alternatives on this page.

Currently (March 2017), Brave is not a mature project. It's an open-source privacy-oriented browser and very fast. But you rely on the developers to provide most of the privacy settings, and you can't install extensions. Firefox remains much more customizable via it's about:config menu options.

Absolute bait-and-switch of a browser. They advertise privacy and ad blocking, yet you can't disable their crypto wallets or their Web3 stuff. Who knows what else they'll add in future that people won't be able to switch off.

Like it or hate it, Edge has evolved into a worthy rival for all at the top of the Blink-based web browser heap, and for those that have to operate on Microsoft environments with multiple sets of Microsoft credentials, its intuitive maintenance and switching of profiles to suit the task underway is an absolute game changer. It's become more tightly integrated with Outlook and has begun feeling like a co-equal member of the Office suite constituents.

Imagine Chromium but with bing by default for search and with not spyware of Google, instead of Microsoft's one. Not Open Source, no good add-ons, no privacy, no security and a company that only want your data for sell it...

Closed source made by Google. Much less trustworthy than open source, made by the non-profit Mozilla

Google is a monopolist company because of Chrome and the amount of power it can exert over web development. Even Microsoft Edge is better.

Proprietary, made by a profit company based on spy it users, cannot custom, not equivalent like about:config in Firefox, cannot disable telemetry or see code, so it is a black box. Shitty add-ons, Chrome is killing Third party and also going to kill third add-ons... Performance is ok but I don't see difference with Firefox (in Linux also Firefox is WAY BETTER in performance) Don't support monopolist companies.

Opera used to be good back in the day, but IMO it lost its way in the early 2010s. One of the founders went on to start Vivaldi, which is a spiritual successor to the original, and that one's my current favorite Chromium browser.

It is essentially a fork of Firefox with ONLY private mode. There is no way to sync anything, to install extensions, and generally do anything permanent except saving sites on the home screen for some reason.

And it has an un-toggleable cookie-banner dismisser, which does not work well, and sometimes breaks sites completely.
