What is Eyes Relax?
It’s an utility that helps avoiding eyes-related problems when working at a computer for several hours. Concentrating your eyesight on a computer screen can cause an eye strain. You can prevent this by taking regular breaks during the work and look at distant objects.
Eyes Relax is a tool that reminds you about taking those breaks. It a very flexible utility, which allows you to specify two independent (short and long) work periods, the length of the breaks, break types, notification sounds and many other settings.
Eyes Relax has also the parenting features. It can enter the password-protected Parent Mode in which the user is forced to take breaks (during the break the computer is locked). This is very useful since children often forget about the real world and play video games much too long.

I have installed it just a few days ago and I'm blown away. There are many options available to the user to customize the break reminders to her/his liking. I can't believe the programmer only spent 1 hour back in 2012 to create this app! It still competes today in 2020, with the best premium break reminder apps available on the market.
My favorite feature is that it doesn't interrupt you in the Windows 10 notification bar. All the "incoming" break notifications show up in a white popup that slowly scrolls down in the top center of your screen. In many ways it reminds me of the premium app @SmartBreak sleek visual countdown feature - but Eyes Relax is free and has a vintage Windows interface.
I'm really impressed with this app - I can only imagine what the app would have become, had the programmer decided to dedicate more time to its development.
This does exactly as advertised and it's perfect for what I have been looking for on Windows. I tried EyeLeo before Eye Relax, but prefer Eye Relax because it has more customization options.
With EyeLeo, the customization options I sent (i.e. long break is every 2 hours) didn't seem to work. It would only work according to the default settings. I really wanted an app that would let me change how long the work time and breaks were and Eye Relax does that.
I don't like the Eye Relax logo, it's a little creepy because there's an eye watching you lol, but it's doable. I like the notification area menu because it has useful options, like the ability to delay your break by 5 minute increments. It's just an all-around great app that will help your eyes to get a break more often!
