    Picocrypt is more suited to encrypting individual files for local storage, not for encrypting groups of files for cloud storage like Cryptomator. Both are excellent applications, with different use cases.

    If you intend to use Cryptomator for encrypting just a few files locally, Picocrypt may be superior.
